1. Our commitment
ReadLume respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users to do the same. ReadLume is a reading and text-to-speech tool: users import content they have the right to access, and we do not host a public library of third-party works. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable laws.
2. Reporting alleged infringement
If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act for one) and believe content made available through ReadLume infringes your copyright, please send a written notice by email to hello@readlume.app including all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it;
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email);
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
3. Where to send notices
Send copyright notices by email to hello@readlume.app with the subject line "DMCA Notice". Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.
4. Counter-notification
If you believe content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to hello@readlume.app including:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material and its location before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
